This year will be no exception.

Set to perform at the 24th annual H’Artful of Fun on Feb. 7 will be The Patrick McNeese Band and silk aerialist artist, Jessica Johnson.

Patrick McNeese, a Kentucky based veteran recording artist and performer, McNeese writes and performs his original songs on piano and guitar.

“My recent work has been described as ‘Appalachian Jazz’ because it embodies the energy and freedom of certain jazz ideas (i.e. syncopation and improvisation), as it also borrows from the rich traditions of music-making and song craft from the Appalachian region,” he says. The Patrick McNeese Band includes well-known percussionist, Tripp Bratton; Maggie Lander on violin and vocals; Tom Martin on Keyboards; and Jesse Pena on bass. Patrick has written, performed and produced three independent albums: “The Singing Bridge” 1989; “Me, Mywolf and I” 1993; and “Any Day Now” 2005, and has also composed original music for several film and video projects.

Aerial Silks performer, Jessica Johnson, owner of Bella Forza Fitness, is a trained aerialist who combines exhilarating dance and acrobatic movements high above the ground while hanging from a special fabric.

Johnson’s performances take her high above the floor, climbing up suspended fabric without the use of safety lines, and then using the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral her body into and out of various positions.
Jessica has trained, performed, and taught on various aerial apparatuses and is extremely passionate about all aerial arts.

Nightfall also includes sumptuous savories and sweets prepared by Lexington’s finest restaurants, bakers, and caterers. This year, food will be provided by Dupree Catering, Nick Ryan’s, Azur, Louisiana Passion, Spindletop, Athenian Grill, Hillary Boone Faculty Center, Tinkers Cakes, Martine’s, Midway Bakery, and Crank and Boom Ice Cream, among others.

A silent and live auction includes over 250 items of original artwork created by area artists as well as personally catered dinner parties, travel packages, sporting and event tickets, Keeneland boxes, and other unique and one-of-a-kind items! The art auction will also feature over 75 works of art from painters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers, and the work of other fine artists and craftspeople.
