Dress for Success Lexington is hosting a moving sale this Saturday, November 5th in their current location in Eastland Shopping Center.
The organization is moving from their space in the Eastland Shopping Center to the Gainesway Shopping Center near Tates Creek. The big move will happen by the end of this year, which means this sale will be one of their biggest.
Starting at 10 am on Saturday, the public is invited to shop designer labels and vintage items. Merchandise will range in sizes from 2-3x and include dresses and suits to handbags and shoes. For a $20 donation, shoppers can be take part in the VIP Early Bird shopping experience. Throughout the sale there will be grab bag specials, drawings and hourly specials.
The new Dress for Success Lexington will include two separate spaces, which is a plan the organization has been wanting for awhile now. One space will be dedicated to the career center and boutique while the other will be for larger donations and the sale center.
Since their doors opened in October 2013, Dress for Success Lexington has served over 400 women throughout the community. Although their main purpose is to provide women with the clothes to be successful, they support these women in every aspect of their career. Diane Verhalen, the Board Chair for Dress for Success Lexington, believes the new space will allow them to continue their mission of empowering women in the community to achieve economic independence.
All the proceeds from the sale stay local and support the women in the community, in addition to funding their move to the Gainesway Shopping Center.
Dress For Success Lexington’s Moving Sale is at Eastland Shopping Center on Saturday, November 5 starting at 10 am until 5 pm for the public. VIP shopping begins at 9 am.
