Buffalo Trace will host Pappy For Your Pappy Friday, June 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort  This Father’s Day, make your dad a happy pappy with a one-of-a-kind dinner event as Julian and Preston Van Winkle guide you through a tasting of the various ages of Van Winkle Bourbons. Don’t forget to bring your favorite Van Winkle item to have it signed at the end of the evening. 6 p.m. – Optional Tour. 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Dinner/ Event. $100 per person.

Father’s Day Storytime will be held June 18 at 11 a.m. in the Barnes & Noble Booksellers location off Man-O-War. To honor dads, grandpas and caregivers, they will read two charming books “Dad School” and “Grandpa Loves You.” Activities will follow.

Celebrate Father’s Day at The Woodford Reserve Distillery.

Treat dad to an evening at the Distillery with a cookout featuring all the  warm-weather favorites. Price includes a welcome cocktail, tour and two drinks with dinner.

Come by the The Woodford Reserve Distillery, 7855 McCracken Pike, Versailles on Saturday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. for a tour. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

The menu includes “build your own salad featuring smoked shredded cheddar, Benton’s bacon, sliced breakfast radish, red onion, mushrooms, croutons, snap peas. Dress it with Woodford Reserve Sorghum Vinaigrette, Green Goddess, or Kenny’s Bleu Cheese Dressing.

Then select from the Barrelhead Mixed Grill featuring baked potatoes, grilled corn on the cob and asparagus. Blackhawk farm’s bone in wagyu Angus prime rib and grilled Blackhawk skirt steak. All served with fresh chimichurri and bourbon demi-glace.

Our desserts include blackberry cobbler, strawberry pie, or the famous chocolate bread pudding with bourbon butter sauce.

DD Rainbow’s third-annual Father’s Day and Juneteenth Celebration  will be held June 19 at 4 p.m, in the Lyric Theatre.

The all-inclusive $25 ticket includes admission,  a meal featuring side dish, dessert, beverage, gratuity, and entertainment featuring poetry, comedy and music.

The 2016 Father’s Day 5K will kick off June 19 at 1 p.m. Join other racers for the third annual Father’s Day 5K virtual race. This year’s medal will be  3.5 inches. The event will be raising funds for Soles 4 Souls, an organization dedicated to providing shoes and clothing to people around the world. This event sells out every year, so be sure to sign up now. Complete the race any time in June. You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us). Organizers want as many people as they can get to virtually run (or walk) a 5K in honor of all of the dads out there.

The group will be donating a portion of each registration fee (at least 20 percent of each registration) to Soles 4 Souls, an organization dedicated to providing shoes and clothing to people around the world. The cost is $27 and includes two custom medals and bibs that will be shipped directly to you. The extra medal is to give to the favorite dad in your life. Medals will be shipped out in May.

The Beer Bourbon and Bacon Garden Party will be held Sunday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate. Come by and celebrate some favorite things – beer, bourbon, bacon, OH MY!

This garden party features signature bourbon cocktails paired with bacon infused small plates. Also sip on some bourbon barrel aged beers.

This event is hosted at Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate by the Cottage. You must be 21 years old, or older to consume alcohol. This series is presented by Cork & Barrel.
