CHI Saint Joseph East named its DAISY Award and BEE Award winners for the first quarter of 2021. Andrew Hurt, RN, MedSurg, received the DAISY Award for extraordinary patient care. Beverly Thomas, a care assistant/health unit coordinator, received the BEE Award for exceptional service.

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that celebrates the extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care given by nurses. Similar to the DAISY Award, the BEE Award honors nursing support staff – patient care assistants, housekeepers, respiratory therapists, health unit coordinators, dietary, transporters and various other team members – who go above and beyond in service, care and compassion.

Lexington Podiatry is expanding their office with the addition of 15 exam rooms, coffee bar, and surgical suite.

UK HealthCare’s Kentucky Children’s Hospital received a donation of $452,118.01 from multiple Speedway stores across Kentucky. More than $22,000 of the funds came from the Speedway location on Athens Boonesboro Road.
