Baptist Health Lexington updates visitor restrictions

With the arrival of flu season coupled with the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, Baptist Health Lexington has limited visitation to those 18 years and older. Visitation for non-COVID patients is limited to one designated person with some special exceptions. All visitors will continue to be screened before entering the facilities, must wear a mask at all times, and continue to social distance.

 

CHI Saint Joseph Health Breeders’ Cup Festival 

The CHI Saint Joseph Health has developed safe and diverse ways to highlight the city’s creative and culinary culture during the November 1-7 Breeders’ Cup World Championships Week.

 

CEO of CHI Saint Joseph to leave in 2021

Bruce Tassin, CHI Saint Joseph Health CEO, will leave the organization at the beginning of 2021. Tassin serves as president of Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East in Lexington. CHI Saint Joseph has launched a search for Tassin’s successor.

 

Flu shots from Grassroots

Support your local pharmacy and stay healthy this upcoming flu season!

Grassroots Pharmacy offers walk-in flu shots, in addition to scheduled flu shots for businesses. Businesses can call Grassroots to schedule an on-site vaccine clinic, 859.263.1382.

Play Golf Lex

Lexington Parks & Recreation announced a new volunteer opportunity on its golf courses, including Lakeside Golf Course and Tates Creek Golf Course. Every three hours worked will earn you a free 9 holes of golf on the course you volunteered for.

Current opportunities include:

  • Golf shop attendant (golf cart fleet, starter, ranger, Golf Shop)
  • Golf maintenance

Interest forms and the Play Golf Lex manual can be found online. Forms can be returned through email or you may also drop the forms off at any of the five City golf courses.

 

Saint Joseph receives grant to support breast cancer patients

The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation has received a $40,000 grant from Susan G. Komen Kentucky that will be used to help local breast cancer patients at Saint Joseph East with essential living expenses.
