Texas Roadhouse x2

Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road left its current location next to Kroger to reopen across the street in the former Walmart parking lot. The new Texas Roadhouse is identical yet bigger, allowing for more seats and employees.

CLOSINGS
Bella Forno is Closing

Bella Forno, formerly known as Crust, is closing on Richmond Road, in the French Quarter Square next to Panera. The restaurant has been closed since mid-March.

God’s Pantry

God’s Pantry Food Bank is hosting its annual Sharing Thanksgiving Basket Brigade at Southland Christian Church’s Richmond Road campus on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14. Help assemble more than 5,000 Thanksgiving boxes.

 

Post Office November Holiday Schedule

Post Offices will be closed and there will be no mail or package deliveries on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day and Thursday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.

 

Water Main Improvement

Kentucky American Water has begun a water main improvement project in Lexington on Winchester Road between Hume Road and Man O War Boulevard. The project, which will total approximately $1.1 million in investment, involves upgrading to a larger one-and-a-half miles of water main installed in the 1950s.

The new water lines will better accommodate recent and future development in the eastern part of Fayette County.The project is expected to have minimal traffic impact since construction will be off the roadway, but motorists are still encouraged to be extra cautious when traveling through the work zone for their own safety and for the safety of those working on the project.This effort is scheduled to conclude by March 2021, depending on weather conditions and other construction factors.

Election Day is November 3. Early voting and Election Day voting are available near our neighborhood at Garrett Morgan Elementary, Lexington Senior Center, and Tates Creek Branch Library.

Additional in-person voting options in Fayette County include Northside Branch Library, Beaumont Branch Library, Dunbar Center, BCTC Leestown Campus, and Wellington Elementary.

Return your absentee ballot by mail or at dropboxes in the neighborhood by November 3 at the Lexington Senior Center. The boxes are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are bright blue and identified as a “Ballot Drop Box.
