On Friday, November 8, the 2019 Go Red for Women Experience was held in in the Lexington Convention Center’s Heritage Hall.

This annual event raises awareness for the number one health threat against women and encourages attendees to make a commitment to end heart disease. Each year, tens of thousands of women come together at one of over 180 Go Red for Women luncheons in communities across the country.

The 2019 Go Red for Women Experience featured a discovery village and a luncheon. The experience was hosted by American Heart Association Lexington, CHI Saint Joseph Health, and Passport Health Plan.

Dr. Karen M. R. Townsend, a Kentucky State University alumna, was the keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon.
