The Lexington Emergency Management is testing its network of outdoor warning sirens on Wednesday, October 2 at 10 am.
If you live near a park or golf course, expect to hear the outdoor siren sound a series of chimes followed by a voice announcing “This is a test.”
This is a regularly scheduled test and THERE IS NO EMERGENCY. This is for testing purposes only and please do not call 9-1-1 about the siren test.
REMINDER: Lexington’s outdoor siren system is designed to alert people who are outdoors and the system is not intended to alert those inside a building.
