Fresh Baked

The Cookies are Coming!

The nation’s fastest-growing gourmet cookie delivery and takeout company is set to open its first Lexington location in Hamburg this spring.

Crumbl Cookies opens in the neighborhood as a locally-owned cookie shop known best for its weekly rotating menu of massive fresh-baked cookies and its signature pink box. The cookie company was established in Utah in 2017, and since then has expanded to over 75 locations in 11 states nationwide.

“It’s such a surreal feeling knowing I am bringing the world’s best gourmet cookie to our neighborhood,” says Hamburg resident Ameet Patel, co-owner of the Lexington franchise. “We strongly felt that in order to have the greatest impact in a large market like Lexington, it needed to be in such a diverse and thriving neighborhood and Hamburg fit the ticket.”

Patel co-owns the forthcoming Hamburg location with Sagar Leva. Patel and Leva both manage hotel portfolios, but this is their first venture into the food realm. After visiting a Crumbl Cookies in another state, the two of them realized there was a niche to be filled in Lexington’s market, especially in the Hamburg area.

“Hamburg is a very welcoming community and allows us to serve a broad range of consumers,” says Leva. “The area has been very receptive to us joining the neighborhood and so we are excited for the store to open and allow everyone to have the world’s best gourmet cookie.”

“We’re excited to bring Crumbl to Lexington, and hope the local residents love these cookies as much as we do,” said Jason McGowan, Crumbl Co-founder & CEO.

Crumbl Cookies offers an ever-changing menu of six cookie flavors. Standard favorites like warm milk chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookie are always available while the other four specialty flavors change weekly.

Every Sunday, Crumbl Cookies announces on social media what four specialty cookie flavors—from a list of over 100—are available that week. All locations offer the same flavors each week.

The massive cookies are served either warm or chilled. Fun chilled flavors include a Sour Patch Kids cookie with lime frosting and raspberry filling, or a Chilled Coconut Lime sugar cookie topped with coconut lime frosting and a fresh lime wedge. Pro-tip? Squeeze the lime onto your cookie for even more flavor. As for a savory, less conventional option, there’s a Chilled Dill cookie with pickle juice extract and topped with crisp pickle slices.

Warm cookie flavors feature classics like Oatmeal Chocolate Chip or Confetti Cake. Fun warm flavors include a warm sugar cookie with fluffy cotton candy frosting and cotton candy pops rocks; or a warm Cornbread Cookie topped with a honey butter glaze and a dollop of honey buttercream.
Leva’s favorite flavor is Samoa, while Patel shares, “I love the Biscoff Lava Cookie. Perfect balance of crunch, softness, and the ooey gooey middle.”

Crumbl also offers half pints of ice cream, called Crumbl Cream, in addition to milk and Crumbl water.

The interior of every Crumbl store is open-concept, which allows customers to see staff members mix, bake, and prepare the cookies fresh in an open kitchen. “Having our customers see every cookie being made is one of the best experiences of our stores,” said Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl Co-founder & COO.

Don’t have time to visit the store? Crumbl Cookies offer local delivery along with in-store and curbside pick-up, all of which is easily accessible on their app or website.

“Nothing beats biting into a warm, delicious cookie that has been delivered straight to your door. We’re really excited to bring this experience to Lexington.”

Crumbl Cookies is located on Sir Barton and is expected to open in the spring.
