Signs of anxiety or stress in children and teens can be seen through physical or behavioral changes. Each child responds differently to these emotions. Many can’t or don’t recognize their own emotional stress and anxiety.

Anxiety: woman hugging her daughterOur Lady of Peace is holding a seminar at Huntertown Elementary School in Versailles on April 18 at 6:30 pm that’ll help parents identify these stresses and anxiety behaviors. Workshop leader Denise Hall will offer tips to help parents manage these emotions and explain how these issues impact children.

Denise Hall is a master level clinician employed with Our Lady of Peace in Lexington and has helped parents and children learn about strategies that will help them avoid incidents at home or at school.

Topics that will be discussed are recognizing signs and symptoms of anxiety, stress or other strong emotions, steps to manage these strong emotions, and much more guidance.
