Friends of the Lexington Senior Center have announced four new board members: Susan Bachner, Carla Guthrie, Margaret McCowskey, and Lauren Roach. 

Day Trips Are Back at Lexington Senior Center

All Aboard! Take a trip on My Old Kentucky Dinner Train Saturday April 8. The group will depart LSC at 9 a.m with an estimated return of 4 p.m. $89 includes motor coach transportation,  luncheon, train trip and driver/server gratuity  Payment MUST be made at time of  registration. Be sure to include registration form (located on  2nd floor travel table) with payment. Please note there is no online registration option – in person only. SENIOR INTERN PROGRAM

Have you ever wondered about the inner workings of the Lexington city government? The Senior Intern Program has the answers. This is a weeklong program June 12-15 for senior adults, age 55 and older. It is like a Civics Summer Camp for seniors! You must be able to attend each day in order to participate. Unfortunately, if you have already participated in the Senior Intern Program, you are ineligible to attend again, but will be invited to the Alumni Luncheon on June 16.

The Lexington Senior Center is proud to present a Housing Fair specifically designed with seniors in mind. Come see what Lexington has to offer in the way of senior housing. Visit with local housing providers and support organizations.

MON MAY 8

Make plans to attend Sanders-Brown Center on Aging’s Mind Matters Health Fair at Kroger Field. Explore interactive booths, free health and memory screenings, and presentations on healthy aging!
