Anderson Communities is a Lexington based developer and they have sent in a zone application to turn space behind Baptist Church at Andover on Todds Road from an agricultural urban zone (A-u) to a multi-family zone (R-4) to create a senior living facility.

However, with the ban of gatherings, the Urban County Planning Commission cannot meet to evaluate the request for approval or denial. No date is given as to when the committee will be allowed to get together to vote on requests.

Their plan is to create a 258 unit facility, mainly one-bedrooms, and 10 single-family detached units over 8.62 acres. A five-story building will be developed to house 90 units and will be the closest to Baptist church. A four-story facility will be built next and hold 72-units while a three-story building will go up in the center of the property and will be the closest to neighborhoods.

To create a buffer or barrier to the surrounding neighborhoods, they plan to have a landscape design that does just that, which was a concern with the previous proposal by Clover Communities.

Anderson Communities are the developers for the construction of the town-homes at the Andover Golf and Country Club.
