St. Patrick’s Day 2018 falls on Saturday March 17. Here is a sampling of where to go, what to do, and where to eat in Lexington, KY 40509<\/h4>\n

Mark your calendars for the 1st annual Irish Soup Cook Off<\/strong>. The winner will go home with the coveted cook off trophy and bragging rights for the year. The cook off will be March 2<\/strong> at Failte Irish Shop<\/strong> at 6:30 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

On\u00a0March 2-3<\/strong>\u00a0chef Tyler McNabb will offer an a la carte menu full of tasty dishes inspired by Irish pubs and home cooks alike at Holly Hill Inn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And don’t forget brunch! Full Irish Breakfast will be served Saturdays and Sundays in March, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. Enjoy scones, smoked salmon, freshly-baked brown soda bread and more.<\/p>\n

On March 10<\/strong> RaceRise hosts the inaugural Lucky Leprechaun Half Marathon<\/strong>, 10 miler & 5K at 9 am in Versailles, KY. Partial proceeds benefit the Foster Care Council of Kentucky and the Woodford Humane Society.<\/span><\/p>\n

ST. PATRICK’S DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

March 17<\/strong>, join everyone in downtown Lexington this St. Patrick\u2019s Day. Lexington\u2019s St. Patrick\u2019s parade<\/strong> is the city\u2019s longest-running annual civic event. The parade and festival are part of an all-day celebration that begins at 8 am with the 12th annual Shamrock Shuffle<\/strong> to benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity. At 11 am, the \u201cBlessing of the Keg<\/strong>\u201d at the Alltech tents in Cheapside Park kicks off the festival. The parade begins at 1 pm, rain or shine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join Man O\u2019War Harley-Davidson<\/strong> on March 17<\/strong> and ride out to the downtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The day will start with donuts and coffee at 10:45 am with kickstands up at 11:30 am. Let Lexington hear your engines and roar downtown with as many motorcycles as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enjoy a Celtic Nation gourmet tasting menu at Holly Hill Inn<\/strong> in Midway on March 16-17<\/strong>. Chef Tyler McNabb offers a four-course menu featuring entr\u00e9es of Roasted Leg of Lamb, Seared Atlantic Sea Bass, and Forager\u2019s Pie. An Irish Whiskey-Bourbon Whiskey taste-off will be available, as well as special beers and wine pairings.<\/p>\n

Lynagh’s<\/strong> will have St. Patrick’s Day food and drink specials all weekend.<\/p>\n

Mirror Twin Brewing<\/strong> on National Ave is hosting their St. Paddy\u2019s Day Party<\/strong> on March 17<\/strong>. There will be drinks, music, a costume contest, and kid-friendly activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

March 17<\/strong>, head over to Proud Mary BBQ<\/strong> for a St. Patrick’s Day Crawfish Boil. Radio stations\u00a0100.1 WKQQ and WTF 97.7 will be live on the river, along with live music and drink specials all weekend.<\/p>\n

Shakespeare and Co<\/strong> is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Mint, Irish Apple, and Sunny Irishman drink specials. Available at both Hamburg and downtown locations.<\/p>\n

Slainte Public House<\/strong> in Georgetown, KY is hosting a special Kegs & Eggs Irish Breakfast<\/strong>\u00a0on March 17<\/strong>, catered by Local Feed. There will be three seatings, 9 am, 10 am, and 11 am.<\/span><\/p>\n

March 17<\/strong>, join Whiskey Bear<\/strong> for a comparative tasting of premium Irish Whiskeys and Kentucky Bourbons. Led by industry expert, Tim Knittel of Distilled Living, this is a unique tasting experience. Time spots are 1, 2, and 3 pm. Must be 21 years or older to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join AZUR<\/strong> on March 18 <\/strong>at 11:30 am\u00a0for an inspired brunch consisting of three courses. Menu includes basket of Kerrygold butter scones, Irish Potato Farles, and corned beef hash and poached eggs. Enjoy traditional Celtic music in the background by Robert Tincher.<\/p>\n
