With a whole house remodel, the carpet throughout the home, black & white vinyl tile in the kitchen, and tile flooring in the bathrooms were replaced with hardwood floor. Stair treads were refinished and new iron spindles were added. The kitchen was a total remodel with new cabinets, quartz counter top, new backsplash, flooring, and paint. The office/conference room was separated from the rest of the house with frosted glass french doors. The bathrooms in the home were given a facelift with new flooring, paint, and light fixtures. A second story laundry room was added by widening the hallway to the master bedroom and reconfiguring the space.

The exterior has a fresh and new paint work on the white brick with a stately front and read covered porch. On the inside, the left side of the house was re-worked in order to create a large master oasis with marble tile, large shower, and a walk-in closet. A new laundry room was also formed in the space, bringing it onto the first floor from the basement for easier access. Most notably is the second story that was built onto the home adding an additional 1,700 square feet. The second story boasts 3 bedrooms, guest bathroom, Jack-and-Jill bathroom, and a loft space.
Anderson & Rodgers Construction
128 South Hanover Avenue Lexington, KY 40502
Once a home for a divided apartment, the home experienced a major layout change. The first floor features a new, contemporary kitchen with a large island and walk-in pantry. Several walls were removed and doorways widened to create a more open floor plan from the front door all the way to the back of the home. The removal of the kitchen on the second floor made way for a new master suite which boasts a walk-in closet and large, custom bathroom. While modernizing the home’s features and layout was most important, every effort was made to maintain the character of the original historic home.
