Buff City Soap opens in Hamburg
Buff City Soap made it their mission to create handmade products free of artificial ingredients and harsh chemicals and that they did. The new soapery, which recently opened in Hamburg, offers all natural, 100% plant-based bath products.
Buff City Soap’s first Lexington location opened in Hamburg at the end of September. (Another is scheduled to open on the Summit side of town later this Fall.) From bath bombs to shower fizzies, body butters to face creams, shave soaps to beard oils, Buff City products offers a natural approach to skin care.
Every product sold is handmade locally in that store. The production process is quick and offers customers a little bit of interactive retail theatre with each purchase.
Buff City’s goal is to be all natural and that’s apparent in the products. Soap bars are packed with ingredients like gardenia petals, lemon zest, shea butter, charcoal, and tea tree oil. Products can be customized with the scent and ingredients of choice.
With soap as their claim to fame, the company carries other products from body butter and body scrubs to bath bombs, shampoo bars, and even shower fizzies, which are basically bath bombs for the shower.
Of course, Buff City couldn’t forget about the guys. There is an entire men’s line featuring beard oil and beard balm. There is also a kid’s line and pup soap, if you don’t want to leave your pooch out of the all-natural trend.
Their laundry collection features soap and wool dryer balls, all made without artificial ingredients or chemicals. Customers can also be creative with facial products like a make-your-own clay mask service.
