Feeders’ Supply has opened their new location at the long-shuttered Walgreens on Harrodsburg Road. The Southland Drive location is moving into the new Harrodsburg Road location, more than doubling their space.

New Furry Therapists
Bluegrass Care Navigators has added two new furry friends to their team. The Lexington hospice organization is utilizing three therapy dogs to be utilized as a part of its integrative medicine program. The use of these dogs is in hope to make people be more comfortable while receiving palliative care.

Let the dogs swim
The Lexington Humane Society hosts their annual Doggie Paddle at the Woodland Aquatic Center in Woodland Park. Your furry friend will have free rein throughout the aquatic area to swim around and fetch all of the tennis balls they can carry. There are three sessions to choose from with different prices: Session #1 is from 9 am until 11 am, Session #2 is from 11:15 am until 1:15 pm, and Session #3 is from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm. Must bring proof of vaccinations to get into pool area.

Sep 7         Sayre Christian Village hosts a Fall Dog Show Grandparents Weekend at 3 pm. Registration is due by Wednesday, September 4.

Sep 8          Learn the ins and outs of how to keep your pet safe and how to handle an emergency situation at PetWants Lex at 10:30 am.

Sep 10         The 11th Annual Dog Show at Ashland Terrace Retirement Home is Tuesday, September 10 at 6 pm.

Sep 14         Lexington Pit Crew adoption event at Hollywood Feed at 2 pm.

Sep 14         Picnic with your pup at Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington at 6 pm.

Sep 18         Dog Agility Class at Brighton Animal Clinic at 6:30 pm.

Sep 28         Lexington Pit Crew adoption event at Pet Valu Chevy Case from 11 am until 2 pm.
