The Stevens family was profiled for the March 2021 Hamburg Journal cover story.

Sayre Student and Hamburg resident Grant Stevens has made his big screen debut in  Little Town. Nine-year-old Stevens is a fourth grade student at Lexington’s Sayre School. The movie premiered in both Lexington KY and Louisville in June. More than 1,000 kids auditioned for Little Town from writer/director Dani Menkin. Stevens was chosen for the lead. 

Little Town is the road-trip story of a stand up comedian and his son on the way to a ‘Little Town’ in the mountains.The Stevens family was profiled for the March 2021 Hamburg Journal cover story. Writer/Director Dani Menkin told Hamburg Journal, “I loved his audition…and my son was with me when I first looked at it, and he also thought Grant was very good,” adding,  “The funny story is that they both became best friends.”

In wrapping up our HJ interview, Menkin concluded, “I think Grant not only has a great future, more importantly he has a present…The camera loves him, and I can’t wait to see more of him, and I am excited for the audience to see his first feature film with our Little Town.
