Is there a bourbon release party at the Liquor Barn in Hamburg? If so, when? What bottles are being featured? How many can I get?
This Saturday, February 9 Liquor Barn in Hamburg is having a Bourbon Release Party for a few new flavors.
The list of bottles are as follows:
- Michter’s 20 Year
- Master Distiller Pam Heilmann personally selects these barrels for the very limited bottling of Michter’s 20 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Intense notes of black cherry, rich molasses, honeysuckle, roasted pecans, toasted charred oak.
- Old Forester “The President’s Choice”
- The President’s Choice was historically, and is today, driven by the palate of Old Forester’s current President. Each barrel in the modern iteration is hand-selected by Campbell Brown, Old Forester president and fifth generation Brown family member, under the guidance of Master Taster, Jackie Zykan.
- Old Fitzgerald 11 Year
- Full-bodied, with an aroma of brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, oak, hazelnut, cinnamon, dried dark fruit, dried citrus peels, and peanut brittle. Has a medium finish of caramel, oak, nuts, and spice.
- Old Fitzgerald 14 Year
- Aroma of vanilla, hay, and light oak blended with raisin and brown sugar. Palate of delicious syrupy sweet vanilla, raisins, a dab of lavender infused honey, and a touch of butterscotch. A finish of lingering light sweet vanilla and oak.
- William Heavenhill 14 Year
- Nose of vanilla, ripe banana, freshly baked bread. A full palate of spiced cookies, cinnamon, and banana with a finish of black pepper and a hint of mint.
- William Heavenhill 16 Year
- This sixth edition of William Heavenhill is a limited and unique offering. Less than 60 barrels make up this edition, but they have been separated into small batches to preserve each warehouse’s unique aging effect on the barrels.
- Old Carter 12 Year
- The nose has notes of honey, cinnamon and warm cinnamon rolls from the oven. Strawberry jam. Combination of rich sweetness and baking spices. Initial flavors of sweet cinnamon disc candy mix with brown sugar syrup. Honey with red pepper that lingers.
- E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof
- The aroma of cooked berries meets the nose, followed by a rich caramel and slightly floral smell. The taste is bold and full of spice that fills the mouth with a distinct flavor of toasty vanilla, dried oak, and pepper. The finish is long and satisfying with a powerful rye character and lingering hints of fruit.
