A hospital is opening up a new medical center in the Hamburg area. Which hospital? Where will it be located? When will it be open?
Baptist Health Lexington has announced they plan to open a new medical center in Hamburg that will be open by 2023.
T
hey are building this center on Polo Club Blvd near Man O’ War Blvd and I-75. In all, it will span across 129 acres.
To make sure this construction is done correctly and efficiently, it will be completed in phases. Phase one will focus on the outpatient surgery and other medical services. Physicians’ offices, emergency room, and surface parking is part of phase one and projected to be open early 2023.
It is estimated to create between 600-700 new jobs for this area. The plans still have to be approved by the Urban County Planning Commission, which has a scheduled meeting for December 12.
Their location on Nicholasville Road will remain open.
