UK HealthCare puts accessible care first with new Fountain Court Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics
Lexington welcomed UK Healthcare’s new Fountain Court Primary and Urgent Care Clinics to 245 Fountain Court in October.
Located near Hamburg, the new Fountain Court Primary Care Clinic offers a full range of preventive and routine care and treatment for common illnesses for the entire family, from infants through adults.
“Making health care more accessible, especially for patients in Central and Eastern
Kentucky, is our key goal,” said Mark F. Newman, MD, who leads UK HealthCare as executive vice president for health affairs at the University of Kentucky. “Part of our new strategic plan includes not only providing more health care options but ensuring that this increased health care access is also more convenient for patients. Our Fountain Court facility is the perfect location to open these new clinics, which are supporting our increased growth in outpatient services.”
The Fountain Court Urgent Care clinic, open six days a week, has two providers available who cansee more than 40 patients a day. Established UK HealthCare patients can use their MyChart patient portal account for same-day urgent care scheduling, which lets them reserve a time for their visit before arriving at the clinic. Additionally, walk-in urgent care patients receive an appointment time upon arrival, giving a clear idea of when they can expect to be seen.
“There is clearly a need for both primary care and urgent care in the area,” said Randy Jones, MD, medical director at UK HealthCare – Fountain Court. “This clinic will provide many patients and their families access to high quality, comprehensive medical care, delivered by some of the most trusted health care providers in the state.”
The clinics at Fountain Court will have their own on-site lab and pharmacy, opening soon.

Fountain Court Primary Care serves patients of all ages
The primary care physicians at UK HealthCare Fountain Court Primary Care are specially trained to meet the diverse health needs of patients of all ages – from newborns to adults.
This new clinic, which opened in October, allows patients to create a long-term relationship with one of our primary care providers. Your provider can then tailor your care and treatment plans with a complete understanding of your past medical history.
