An initiative, “Food for Fines,” allows you to donate canned goods through December 19, and provides LexPark with a boost of holiday goodwill.
As part of the drive, parking ticket recipients can bring 10 cans of food into the LexPark office at 122 N. Broadway to pay meter citations. Customers with multiple citations may bring 10 cans for each ticket they have been issued, even those that are past due.
“It’s a great way for citizens to clear their record and help those in need at the same time. We are very excited about this opportunity to give back to our community,” said Parking Authority Executive Director Gary Means.
All donations will go to God’s Pantry Food Bank.
Expired, damaged or opened food donations will not be accepted.
