Find Your Dream Home
Meet the Compton Real Estate Team
You dream, and Compton Team will do the rest. Ben and Melissa Compton are the husband and wife REALTOR® duo behind Compton Team.
Compton Team was formed in July 2020, with the focus to maintain the personal touch their clients deserve while still adhering to CDC guidelines.
There’s been such a shift in the marketplace to accommodate working from home and kids beginning a virtual school year, evolving needs have led to evolving home buying trends. “The need for dedicated home o ice/classroom space has increased dramatically amid the pandemic,” Melissa says. “Some builders are now offering new floor plans with dedicated spaces to meet these needs.”
“We live here because we love here” agrees the couple, who live and work in the Hamburg area.
“We choose to live in Hamburg because it’s beautiful, growing fast and has access to almost everything we need. It’s neat to watch the place we call home grow around us!”
Compton Team specializes in residential and commercial real estate, serving all of Central Kentucky and the surrounding area.
Asked about their favorite part of serving this area, “The wide variety of available properties has something for everyone. Whether you want city living, country living, or a combination of both, Central Kentucky has it all.”
Melissa is from Louisville and Ben from Pikeville, and both have called Lexington home for more than 20 years. “We hardly ever leave Kentucky,” she says. “There is so much beauty and things we haven’t seen.”
When they do leave, they make it worthwhile. While some summer vacations were put on hold, these two were still able to fit travel into their summer plans. “Each year we do a ‘fill in the blank’ we’ve never been to summer. This year it was ‘Lakes we’ve never been to summer.’ We’ve also done parks and cities. We tell WAZE to avoid highways and take all back roads to wherever we are going.”
Married on Halloween 12 years ago, they love this time of year and admit that their Christmas decorations appear right after Trick or Treat. If they’re not traveling or selling homes, they can be found in their cozy home in Hamburg using one (or maybe all four) of their Instant Pots, playing board games in their basement, or listening to a collection of vinyl albums.” Of course, they also admit to loving “shopping in Hamburg.”
