Operation Military Cheer
BIA’s annual Operation Military Cheer is happening through December 10. Unwrapped donations of toys and clothing can be dropped off at the BIA office. Items are then distributed to families and children of deployed and non-deployed military personnel in need on Friday, December 11.
Holiday Trash Collection
Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and Christmas Day follows on Friday, December 25, 2020. There is no trash collection on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The makeup day is Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
New Year’s Day is Friday, January 1, 2021. No trash collection on that Friday, the makeup day is Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
Leaf Collection
The City’s annual leaf collection is projected to be completed in December. Residents should prepare leaves before collection by raking into the area between the sidewalk and the street. If you have no sidewalk or it is right next to the curb, place the leaves on the edge of your lawn closest to the street.
Hamburg Homes 2020
Summer 2020 was a busy time for home improvement in Hamburg. The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway returned to Hamburg on Stolen Horse Trace. Barbara Greenlee of Lexington, KY was the winner of the Dream Home in Hamburg.
In July, BIA’s annual Grand Tour of Homes showcased the work of many of Lexington’s finest builders through a self-guided tour.
BIA’s August Tour of Remodeled Homes was rescheduled until October, offering a new virtual format to experience the homes.be completed in December. Residents should prepare collection by raking have no sidewalk to the curb, place the leaves on the edge of your lawn closest to the street.
