2020 Calendar Changes in Lexington, KY

Berea Craft Festival is going virtual on Friday, July 10 from 9 am until 5 pm.

Breyerfest, the annual summertime show at the Kentucky Horse Park, will be a virtual fest this year, July 10-12.

Run the Bluegrass, the half marathon hosted at Keeneland every Spring and originally scheduled for March, now plans an in-person race in October.

 

Lexington
The Kentucky Wine & Vine Festival originally scheduled for the Spring has been postponed to Saturday, August 29.

POSTPONED

The Buddy Guy concert originally scheduled for March 7 at the Lexington Opera House is being rescheduled and all tickets will be honored at the new date, to be announced soon.

Dancing with the Lexington Stars has been postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

The Great American Brass Band Festival in Danville, KY has been postponed until July 25, 2020. The original festival date was slated for June 4-7.

The Kentucky Derby has been rescheduled for September 5. The last time the derby was postponed was in 1945 due to WWII. The Kentucky Oaks is also rescheduled for the new Derby Eve, which will be Friday, September 4.

Lauren Daigle World Tour at Rupp Arena has been postponed until May 20, 2021.

Leeds Center for the Arts is postponing their summer musical, The Music Man, until the summer of 2021.

The 2020 Lexington Senior City Championship golf tournament originally scheduled for June 5 – 7 has been postponed.

The Lexington Theatre Company has postponed their summer 2020 season.

The Miss Kentucky and Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen competition has been postponed until summer of 2021.

The Primary Election has been postponed. Originally scheduled for May 19, the new date of the primary is June 23.

The Versailles Twilight Festival has been postponed until October 2020.

 

CANCELED

The 2020 Barbasol Championship, part of the PGA Tour, has been canceled. Originally scheduled for July 16-19 at Keene Trace Golf Club, the tournament is set to return in 2021.

The Backstreet Boys World DNA Tour at Rupp Arena scheduled for July 27 has been canceled.

Winchester’s popular annual June Beer Cheese Festival has been canceled for 2020. They will be back on June 12, 2021.

The Bluegrass Fair has been canceled for 2020.Friday Flicks at Jacobson Park has been canceled for June.

The I Know Expo will be rescheduled to Spring 2021. (The initial August makeup date has been canceled.)

Lexington Comic Con has officially been canceled for 2020. They plan to be back March 25-28, 2021.

The 2020 Road to the Horse has been canceled.
