For over a year, TGI Friday’s location on the corner of Man O’War Blvd and Sir Barton Way has stood vacant. The restaurant officially shut its doors in May 2020 due to the pandemic, marking a goodbye to the last TGI Friday’s in Lexington.
Many people have asked “What’s taking over the former TGI Friday’s in Hamburg?” There have been a few rumors flying around, but we now have an answer for you.
According to public records, a ‘Commercial Remodel Permit’ was filed for the 2,500 square foot space with the project name “Local Taco Hamburg.”
This will be Local Taco’s second location in Lexington. Local Taco is currently located on South Limestone, serving Tex-Mex inspired dishes like tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas.
