Back in March 2018, One Holland Corp. broke ground to build a Skyline and LaRosa’s on Richmond Rd. Skyline has since opened its doors, but LaRosa’s has not. When will it be open?
The popular Cincinnati-based pizzeria, LaRosa’s, is set to open on Monday, May 13. This is the first of five locations to open in the Central Kentucky area. To keep all of the One Holland restaurants together, they moved First Watch from its Man O’ War location to share building space with LaRosa’s down Richmond Road. Though the two restaurants may share a building, patrons will have to go outside to get to the other.
The reason behind choosing the spot on Richmond Road, One Holland Corp. CEO and Founder Gary Holland said “We did a lot of research as we entered the Lexington market. The very first First Watch we opened was on Richmond Road. We felt like this was kind of the heart of Lexington and based on the information we had it seemed to be the absolute best of locations to kick off with.”
When Skyline had their grand opening they not only had a huge turnout, but a lot of patrons asking when LaRosa’s would open. Once they realized the excitement for the pizzeria, they knew they would need more kitchen space to accommodate the high volume expectancy. This add-on was the cause of delay for LaRosa’s grand opening.
There is a full bar available, large garage doors to open when weather is beautiful, a Keeneland Room, and a party room that can be booked for private events. The Richmond Road location can seat up to 186 and does delivery. The Southland Dr location is deliver and take-out only and is expected to open in November 2019 before Thanksgiving.
There are other items on the menu that people can pick from if they don’t want pizza. Guests can order pasta, salad, wings, and dessert. Something for the whole family.
One Holland Corp. has big plans to expand further into the Central Kentucky area. Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville will soon have a LaRosa’s and Skyline, a First Watch and LaRosa’s in Richmond Center (Richmond), and then expand into Georgetown. Once those have been completed, Holland said they will “most likely expand to Louisville.”
